WHO WOULD HAVE SAID

It was 1958 when the long fairy tale between the Mastrotto family and the interest in leather fi rst started. It was Arciso that fi rst saw the tanning industry as a future, an opportunity for work, investment and development for himself and his children, to whom he was able to pass on his enthusiasm while teaching them to be far-seeing, honest and capable.

In time Santo and Bruno Mastrotto transformed a small tannery into an industrial giant with 9 production units (3 of which are abroad), 1700 employees, a yearly turnover of over 310 million Euro. It manufactures an assortment of leather items for the footwear, furniture, leather goods, automotive and the clothing industry. These are vital statistics, loaded with satisfaction and responsibility for the Mastrotto brothers, Santo and Bruno, who now head the Mastrotto Group global export.

The 'cradle' of the Group has always been Conceria Mastrotto in Arzignano - the tanning center of the Veneto region, the main tanning area worldwide ? which is where the management, organization and production hub is.
It is considered the 'school of ideas' of the Group, an academy of research and experimentation where innovative items are developed to set trends and where multidisciplinary projects are studied and realized to meet market needs and update production and service.

That is why today, 'Newsleather' has been started. To offer a point of reference to Conceria Mastrotto's customers and to those around the industry. To envision the future, confi dent with a great past and tradition to fall back on.
